Hi. I’m Shannon (She/Her)

* FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM TO GET TO KNOW ME EVEN BETTER *

I’m a comedian-singer-songwriter and a Certified Life Coach for Moms and Young Women. I help women who feel overwhelmed ease into their lives again, set new fun goals and get into the business of reaching those goals with my 6-Week 1:1 Coaching Program.

Combining my Master Life Coach training, my credentials in Positive Psychology, my experience in Leadership Roles, and my love for all things creative, I take my clients through a deep dive creative goal setting process that they say is, “transformative,” “fun,” and “like having your own private cheerleader who also kicks your ass a little.”

I’m a proud, long time member of the Screen Actors Guild. I‘ve been in commercials for IHOP, Eggos, American Greetings, Hewlitt Packard and more. I played an animal rescuer on the kid’s TV show Critter Gitters and was once on the Love Connection in the 1800’s. You heard me! I’m one half of the musical comedy duo MOMMY TONK! We write and perform outrageously fun, beautifully harmonized and “slightly” irreverent original songs about the joys and pains of motherhood and marriage. You can stream our comedy album, “Nailed It” on Apple Music. (Warning: It’s not safe for children xo).

I’ve performed stand-up and musical comedy on stages across the country including Second City, LA, Improv Olympic, Zanies Nashville, Throckmorton Theatre Mill Valley, House of Blues Hollywood, Expressing Motherhood, Flapper’s Burbank, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, The Boston Comedy Festival, Three Clubs Hollywood, The Comedy Store Hollywood, Mohawk Austin, The Laughing Derby Louisville, and Wow Summit.

I’ve been the President of my Class, my kid’s PTA and my youth group. I’ve been a lifeguard, a camp counselor and managed multiple teams of employees in arts organizations. I’ve worked behind the scenes at the Academy Awards and held hands with The Rock. Yes, he is THAT strong. And beautiful. :)

I grew up in Kentucky skinny dipping in quarries and smoking cigarettes in my tree house like I assumes all proper southern girls did. I now live in Los Angeles with my husband of 17 years, two teenaged sons and our two super sweet doggies!

A lover of life and people, I am unapologetically positive and I unapologetically love to go way deep down into the nitty gritty of ALL the many emotions that come with being a woman, a mom and an artist in today’s world. This is where all the juicy material lives after all. Bring it on.

I found my first Life Coach when I was 33 years old and had just been diagnosed with cancer. In my face. I was worried. About a lot of things. Would I survive mainly. Would I ever be able to have children. If they removed the cancer which um - OF COURSE - is what I wanted - what was going to happen to my face. Would I have a scar. How big would it be? Would people be able to see it? Would I ever book a television job again? A medium that is as up close and personal on the face as it gets? My television commercial career was just taking off. Was it over now? I’d worked so hard to get here. Moved thousand of miles away from family to pursue this career. My face was making me money. Oh F&%$!

For a solid year and three months I went through eight surgeries to remove the cancer, three reconstructive surgeries to rebuild my face and six weeks of daily radiation. This was an intense journey and one I cannot imagine taking without my dear friends, family and…weekly sessions with my life coach. She encouraged me to stay present every step of the way, she believed in my ability to keep going, she taught me to allow for all of the emotions that were coming up and she showed me how to choose, on purpose and intentionally, exactly how I wanted my life to look moving forward. To begin creating my new goals and to never give up. And so that is what I did. I sat with my emotions, I allowed myself to grow from where I was, to heal from the pain, both physical and emotional, and to choose, on purpose and intentionally that no scarring, emotional or facial, would ever stop me from living and loving this full, creative life with which I had been blessed. Yes. #blessed y’all. I feel it. :) I am happy to say that I have been cancer free for 18 years. I love my life. And I love my face. Scars and all!

Coaching has changed my life and I love getting to share the tools I’ve learned with my clients.

Let’s Go! Let’s Create. Let’s set goals. And reach them! Carpe Diem!
